... which is what I wanted to do all along.
The thing about roleplay icons, of course, is that generally speaking you want them to look similar, and you don't want to have to bother with things like significant song lyrics telling you what the icon's meant to be doing. They're just supposed to show what [Insert Character's Name here] might look like at any given moment.

In practice this turned out to mean that although I have made a lot of icons in my time, precisely none of them were any good for Livejournal roleplay - and, thanks to losing the layered files for a lot of my icons, I couldn't just delete the text and leave it at that. Which, of course, meant that I had to make some more because I wanted a set and don't like using other people's icons.

Since in my case [Insert Character's Name Here] is Ken Hidaka, that logically means that there are about nine million different ways he could be looking blank or pissy or flustered, meaning that I ended up having to make quite a lot of them. For instance it turns out there are quite a lot of different ways for Ken to smile, and using one where you really want the other just doesn't quite cut it when it comes to conveying the precise sentiment you're after. Which is the whole point of roleplay icons in the first place. It's my fault for applying for a character who's so ridiculously expressive, of course, but... it's Ken and he is my favorite. Some things you, or rather I, just have to do.

So yes, this is an icon dump featuring eighty-four different iterations of Ken and precisely nobody else.

Slightly different rules as regards this batch of icons. I don't mind if you want to take them and upload them, but I'd really appreciate it if other people didn't upload full sets and roleplay with them just because I've got them in play as a complete RP icon set on [livejournal.com profile] 1thingincommon at [livejournal.com profile] somarium and I'm assy enough to want to be the only one who has a full set of black, white and blue Ken icons. (Or, uh... just ask first?) Other than that comments are loved but not essential and if you do take any of them, I'd really appreciate it if they were credited to [livejournal.com profile] sevendials somewhere in your icon information, but it's not necessary.

Since this is my RP icon resource post, further icons may well be added at a later date if I find myself making them.

Admit it, Kenken, you're cute.
Well. Looks like this thing has been sitting on my desktop waiting for me to post it for quite a while now. It's probably about time I did something with it, so I could at least delete the file I saved it in.

This would be an icon meme. Specifically, it's a Livejournal roleplayer's icon meme, and it seems to me it's as good a way as any to show off my flashy roleplay icon set. Yes, I made special icons just to roleplay Ken with, none of the other ones would do because I needed textless expressive images. DON'T JUDGE ME. Anyway, I honestly can't remember whose journal I saw this on. I seem to recall that I got it from Grell-mun's character journal, but I'm not totally sure any more. It really has been a while, after all.

I was going to post the completed meme to my character journal, because it's really a character-journal kind of meme. But then I thought, no. It'd just get in the way there - [livejournal.com profile] somarium isn't one of those games where character journals are just useful so that you have something to post to the community from; you actually need to use the things over there - and it'd make a lot more sense to post over at my personal journal instead. So here I am, here it is, and here are my purpose-built roleplay icons. Oh what fun.

The Character Expression Meme

Character: Ken Hidaka
Journal: [livejournal.com profile] 1thingincommon

.happy..sad..angry..scared.
.disgusted..surprised..flirty..sexual.
.confused..shy..playful..rage.
.hurt..guilty..bored..laughing.
.sarcastic..tired..wtf..pride.
.sympathy..evil..innocent..in love.
YOURFOURFAVORITEICONS

WANT TO DO IT TOO?
Snag yourself the coding here.

Some of these were quite hard being as Kapitel-era Ken just plain isn't very good at looking like that in the first place. I don't for example have a specifically flirty icon because Ken looks intentionally flirtatious so damn rarely that it's just not an issue my icon set usually has to deal with. Far more important to have yet another variation on the theme of 'irritable', I get far more use out of those ones than I ever would out of an icon I made specifically for occasions when Ken's hitting on people, which he never does anyway - or not enough, anyway, that I can justify using one of thirty-five icon solots on it. Now maybe if I had a few more spaces free...

Yeah, so part of me wants to buy Ken extra icon slots, because I know I'd use them, too. On the other hand, committing myself to making yet more of these damn things because now I've started making him an actual set, I'd want to carry on that way? Maybe not.

Okay, that's done. Now what?
So, I just got back from spending the afternoon with [livejournal.com profile] rokesmith because you know, February 14, you have it to do even if it does mostly consist of watching the new Star Trek movie and geeking out over it. Also I appear to find myself wanting to write a daft Weiss Kreuz/Nu!Trek crossover in the sense of taking the characters from Canon A and the setting from Canon B and seeing what happens. Yes, folks, it's Space Assassins: In Space. And, apparently, Starfleet. I'd ask someone to stop me but it's already gone too far for that.

So, I'll be adding Space Assassins: In Space to my list of Stuff That Must be Written Sometime Soon. Along with the Seuche rewrite which, now that I've finally finished making icons, I may actually be able to get off the ground.

... well, once I've finished posting the icons I will, anyway. Hence this post. I'm not so cruel as to make yet another livejournal post ranting about how awesome I think the new Star Trek movie is and my horrible crossover ambitions without providing some kind of decent reason to actually sit through it. So, here are 77 Weiss Kreuz-related reasons of 100 x 100 pixels apiece. Hopefully at least one of those reasons will prove to be worth it.

Usual rules for my icon dumps apply: please feel free to take these icons, save them to your hard drive, or spread them about the place. Comments are loved but not essential; if you do take any of them, I'd really appreciate it if they were credited to [livejournal.com profile] sevendials somewhere in your icon information, but it's not necessary. Textless icons are not bases.

References I can remember making:
  • I used a lot of Killers lyrics on this batch. Quotes from Joy Ride (icon #15); the Murder Trilogy (icons #43-46); Goodnight, Travel Well (icons #48 and 50); A Dustland Fairytale (icon #58); Smile Like You Mean It (icon #69) and On Top (icon #77).

  • I also borrowed several quotes wholesale from the album Lungs by Florence + The Machine. They're on icon #16, 22, 51 and 70.

  • Icon #76 has a Hamlet quote on it. I know, William Shakespeare must be rotating in his grave, but I figured it was suitable given that Aya Fujimiya really does seem to be attempting to enact a one-man Revengers' Tragedy in the middle of a Tokyo flower shop even before we get into the whole bit where a father charges his son to kill his uncle and brothers murdering one another over their wives. In short, Weiss Kreuz can get worryingly like Hamlet and Takehito Koyasu is quite possibly insane.

  • Icon #68 also shamelessly rapes literature - in this case Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness.

  • The Aya x Sakura icon captioned Honeysuckle Rose (#29) and the Youji x Ken icon captioned Anything Goes (#33) are a tiny tribute to my getting into swing music at least 60 years too late.

  • I made a couple of Raymond Chandler references in this batch as well, in keeping with mine and [livejournal.com profile] rokesmith's theory that Youji is obviously a noir hero. Icon #40 takes its caption from this passage from The Little Sister, while icons #64 and 65 take their titles from Marlowe stories - a novel in the case of the Youji icon, a short story collection in the case of Ken.

  • The phrase 'everything will probably not be okay' on icon #14 I first saw on a banner over at a softer world. It just seemed to fit Ken in general and that image of him in particular, so I shamelessly borrowed it.

  • Other supplementary lyric quites are scattered about the place. I can recall that there are lyrics from two songs by Sheryl Crow on icons #5 and #6 (chosen more because I was desperate to get something on those icons than anything else), Guster's Satellite on #20, Hands Down by Dashboard Confessional on #27, Duran Duran's Girls on Film on #52, from Angel of Harlem by U2 on icon #54, and the tiny text on icon #53 comes from Elephant Gun by Beiruit. The source for all the rest have either slipped my mind or I never knew in the first place.

I also took the chance to revisit a couple of images I've iconed before in this batch, largely because the last time I made icons from most of them my iconing ability was frankly ass and I really didn't want that to be my final word on the subject. I think that's fair enough, personally.

Now back to fantasizing about Ken Hidaka a la Montgomery Scott.

Can you hear the dialogue go *THUMP*, dear reader?
... so, I read a lot of badfic, right? One of the lesser-known things about bad fanfiction is that - if the reader is in the right mood, or in the right company - it can be funny. Sometimes, in fact, it can be very funny indeed.

Of course, the problem is that most of the time the fic in question is not actually a comedy. So what is it that makes them so funny? Is it the absurd behavior of the hapless characters who have become trapped therein? Is it the ridiculousness of the scenarios they are forced to enact? Or is it the clunky, nonsensical lines the characters are obliged to spout and, all too often, positively tin-eared manner in which the chronicler in question tells their dread tale?

The answer is, of course, all three at once and then some.

In the spirit of the explorers of old, having returned from the badlands of badfic, I intend to share these hidden treasures to the world at large. I have, therefore, made a series of icons commemorating the very best of the very worst moments that Weiss Kreuz fanfiction has to offer. This first series is dedicated solely to truly absurd lines of dialogue or text; further instalments (yes: there will be more of these, alas) may well see me broadening my scope to take in some choice phrases from truly terrible summaries. For now, however: on with the show.

As you browse these icons please bear in mind that, though occasional cosmetic alterations have been made to allow them to fit on a 100 x 100 virtual canvas, these are genuine lines from Weiss Kreuz fics I have read in their entirety. All errors of spelling, punctuation and grammar are presented as they were in the published fic. I am not making any of this up. I couldn't make this shit up if I tried.

Credit to [livejournal.com profile] quietladybirman would be gratefully appreciated, but I get enough of a kick out of seeing my icons showing up in random places, so it's really not essential.

If you find that the text on #16 moves too fast for your liking, a static version with a single blinking-cursor animation at the end of that... spiel is available here, and a version of icon #27 without the animated Aya can be found here, though it is considerably less funny.

At Least The Ken Icon's Pretty.
As any Weiss Kreuz fan will tell you, absolutely nobody in the show knows how to dress. We've all seen and been scarred by Omi's pink hat of neon terror and his brown lace-up vest... thing, both of which must have been stolen from a fourteen year old girl. We've shuddered over Sakura teaming a lilac top and khaki skirt with bright red trainers. We've wondered what in the world made Schuldig think a green coat, white pants, and screaming yellow bandana equalled SEX and we, or at least I, have given Ken a free pass because he's clearly not even trying and is thus excused.

And we definitely all remember Aya's Hideous Orange Sweater O' Maximum Fug.

Well, I was talking with the cast and crew of one of my RPs the other day and we got into a discussion about the relative demerits of the sweater (namely, all of them) and whether or not it could possibly look any worse if it were any other color than blindingly bright orange of just the right shade to clash horribly with Aya's own hair.

I, having a photo-editing program, a modicum of skill, and time on my hands, decided to test out this theory. Could Aya possibly look any worse in that sweater if it were any color other than orange? WE SHALL SEE.

First off, this is what Aya looks like normally. Pretty, ain't he? Restrain yourself, fangirls.

Note: FUG SWEATER. It is generally agreed by most Aya fangirls that not even he in all his beauteous porcelain-skinned mangodliness can make this thing look good. (Now imagine what it looks like to me, KEN FAN EXTRAORDINAIRE. Go on. I dare you.) It's also generally agreed that putting it on any other character in the damn series, with the possible exception of Schuldig, automatically gets you something that looks rather better. Yes, they're still wearing a neck-devouring ribbed orange sweater but at least they don't have fire-engine-red hair. Ken might actually be able to get away with this, because he'd still have his 'not trying' pass and he's a brunet.

Hide the children's eyes! )

It honestly seems to me like Aya could not have chosen a more ridiculous and butt-ugly unflattering sweater if he had looked for one all year - short of wearing a knitted Gran sweater covered in bobbles and paisley sheep. And yet he persists in wearing it. Why? For the Love of God, why? is it because his sister made it? Is it because she bought it for him as a present as a joke? Is it because he's colorblind and believes it's a fetching shade of green or gray? In vain doth the fandom ask itself these questions.

Of course, being as I am who I am, I decided that all those identical Aya base images with color changing sweaters would be ideal for making animated icons with.

So, because I am who I am, please enjoy a few cheap and nasty SWEATER icons o' maximum stupidity.

They're all small enough to use on Livejournal, though that happened more by luck than judgement. On the offchance that anyone actually wants to use one of these idiotic things, the usual rules apply: textless icon is not a base, no need to comment if you're taking them but you can if you want to, credit to [livejournal.com profile] quietladybirman is not essential but it would make me happy.

Shiny Thing Alert
Well, I'm a bit late with this icon dump - but a few hours can be forgiven when I had at least 100 icons to upload and HTML-Table-Ize (there must be a neater way of saying this) - at least I hope they can, because late is what I am. I blame... I don't know, I blame the sheer boredom that is dealing with all this HTML, and Photobucket's decision to strip the image names from their uploads. Makes the whole business so much more long-winded and troublesome than it has to be.

Oh well, at least it's done, or as done as it's going to get. Now watch me decide to make another icon in two weeks' time and not post it for public use for another year.

Brushes by all the usual suspects - namely [livejournal.com profile] colortone, [livejournal.com profile] perfetc__, [livejournal.com profile] twistedswanton, [livejournal.com profile] sugarplumkitten, [livejournal.com profile] joyfulsong, [livejournal.com profile] sheepy_hollow, [livejournal.com profile] snarkybecky, [livejournal.com profile] merely_anger [livejournal.com profile] forbiddenstorm, [livejournal.com profile] ghost_sheep, [livejournal.com profile] inxsominax, [livejournal.com profile] raynedanser, [livejournal.com profile] framedinblood, [livejournal.com profile] colorfilter, [livejournal.com profile] sinecure, [livejournal.com profile] lil_brokenangel, [livejournal.com profile] masquerademasks, [livejournal.com profile] fading_coal, [livejournal.com profile] nebulein, [livejournal.com profile] cool_graphix, [livejournal.com profile] nv1978, [livejournal.com profile] cae_prince, [livejournal.com profile] justmi, and [livejournal.com profile] mutsie_brushes, - sourced in [livejournal.com profile] 100x100_brushes.

References I Can Remember Making:

Far more song lyrics in this batch than I would care to count...

  • Lyrics on the first (slightly washed-out) set of four Weiss icons come from Hyde's '666'.

  • Lyrics on the second set of four Weiss icons come from 'Everybody Wants The Same Thing' by the Scissor Sisters. As usual, Youji proved to be an utter bitch to find lyrics for. Why it's always Youji who gives me headaches regarding brushes, color schemes and quotes whenever I do a Weiss icon set I have no idea.

  • Further Scissor Sisters lyrics can be found on six other icons.

  • By contrast, the lyrics on the Schwarz icon set come from 'Future' by Leonard Cohen. (Whose songs are, of course, made of Purest Win and Awesome: there are lyrics from 'The Partisan' on one of the Aya icons in this batch, too.) What this says about my conception of Weiss and Schwarz I hardly like to contemplate. The first time I heard that song I wanted to make a Schwarz icon set for it, something I am sure I wouldn't have done if I had never put my MP3 player onto Shuffle in the first place, which says more about me than I might like to think, too.

  • For some reason, the Pet Shop Boys song 'Opportunities' makes me think of Omi, and to this end I stuck lyrics from it on an Omi icon.

  • Other artists and groups whose lyrics I have shamelessly appropriated include Duran Duran, The Killers, Don Henley, Heaven Seventeen, Jessica Riddle, Blur, Barenaked Ladies, Dashboard Confessional and at least one more group whose name totally slips my mind now. And that's even without including the text brushes I've been using, most of which also involve song lyrics.

  • And finally, 'Sepia Lady' is of course the title of one of Omi's image songs

Other random references...

  • 'We are the dead' is a line from 1984. George Orwell no doubt thought that having his prose raped for the sake of a really crappy Reality TV show was the nadir of his posthumous career, but that was before he ended up on a Weiss Kreuz icon. I suspect he is spinning in his grave.

  • 'Oh shit, we're trapped in a plot hole' - do I even need to explain this one?

  • Aya Fujimiya is Inigo Montoya. Except he's not, because if I ever get round to writing that Princess Bride parody I randomly worked out the castings for once upon a lengthy shower, he's actually going to be Buttercup. Youji is Inigo in that. But that wouldn't make for a funny icon.

  • As regards it sucking to be Ken, this is a private joke that has ill-advisedly gone public. Once again the source is [livejournal.com profile] cards_slash and her awesome, though these days she is largely aiming her awesome at the Dukes of Hazzard fandom. Her Five Ways series is still some of the funniest things the Weiss Kreuz fandom has going for it, though. Anyway, the joke in question relates to Ken's total inability to catch a break, at least where fanfic goes - if he's not being horribly tormented, it's because he's being completely sidelined. Because he hits Aya, you know.

  • The story referred to in 'Omi and Ken discover slash fiction' exists. The original is actually a fic arc, but that's really not much of an excuse. I think just about the only person who got away without being raped was the cat.

  • The OC referrred to in 'Aya Sues: The Truth!' also exists. Her full name is Serenity Raven Kath'rynn Sakura Enigma Hikari Akegata and, if that wasn't clue enough, she was conceived (though, admittedly, it was by me) as The Ultimate Weiss Sue. She really is meant to be that bad.

Usual rules apply - take them if you like them if you don't just pretend I never posted. Credit to [livejournal.com profile] quietladybirman would be gratefully appreciated, but I get enough of a kick out of just seeing these icons showing up in random places, so it's really not essential. It would just make me *glee* a bit.

It's That Old Circular.
I know, three of these icons have been posted before.

But, now I am posting them as a set. So that makes it perfectly justifiable to post them again, right?

... all I can say is that it had better do, because I'm posting them anyway. Simply because they all took absolutely ages to finish, and I'm very very glad to have them done, and I feel the need to make a public statement that I have now made Badfic Cliche icons for every member of Weiss, OMG.

Same rules as usual: take them if you like them, no need to comment, credit by no means essential but gratefully appreciated, et cetera.

These should not be out of synch with one another. Oh well, it only shows when they're all posted together like this, it won't show when they're actually being used so I cannot be bothered to fix it, at least not right now.

I suspect, thanks to the fact that math (even basic math) is really not my strong suit, I may have buggered up the timings somewhere down the line - all the frames in all the icons are meant to display for the same amount of time - but at this stage in the game I honestly don't care. It's taken long enough to get these things done as it is without monkeying with frame times.

The sad thing?

The Ken one's still the longest.

The even sadder thing is I'm putting serious thought to making an identical series for Schwarz.

New Shinies.
... would you believe I started making these things sometime before Christmas?

Too bad my parents interrupted and insisted that I went over to theirs, because by the time I got back to London I'd got my second wind. I was just beginning to get bored with the whole process of icon making before I left, but I returned with a mad burning lust for icons (yes, I lust for icons. I am a strange woman.) and - well, I'll go into the gruesome details later. Needless to say I am here and I bring icons.

... seriously, don't ask me where this came from (apart from the new brushes, which were a sort of present to myself after I finished that FarfKen fic). I should have known that getting the urge to make that stupid Kase/Ken icon you can see up there... somewhere would spiral out of control. These things always do seem to spiral out of control.

Fifty-five icons later I finally decided I was bored.

References I Can Actually Remember Making:

  • ... well, first off, there are more Guns n' Roses lyrics in there than you can shake a very large stick at. Some of them are supposed to be really deep, some of them I just thought sounded cool. I won't bother naming all the tracks individually, for the simple reason that there's just too many of them. This isn't my fault, mind, as I wasn't the one who introduced me to them. If anyone is responsible for this icon dump, it's the person who got me into them. Namely the ever-amazing [livejournal.com profile] cards_slash.

  • Speaking of Card and her ever-present amazingness, if you have no idea why there's a Ken icon that says 'Oh Shit, It's Friday', you've obviously never read the Five Ways... series and must rectify this immediately.

  • The lyric 'virtual insanity' comes from the Jamiroquai song of the same name. I don't even like that song, but after half an hour spent staring at that icon and wondering what to write on it, I took the first thing that seemed even partway apt.

  • 'Just a Survivor' is the title of a song from the boysmutty anime Sukisho - the only link to Weiss is a couple of the voice artists - which I have never seen and don't feel I particularly want to. I have got a couple of the songs, though I don't think they're all that remarkable. Still, one of them is called 'Just a Survivor' and you can't tell me that doesn't suit Ken just wonderfully.

  • The FarfKen fic referred to in the 'I'm not doing this' icon actually exists.

  • Those purple icons: they're far more twisted than they look. See, the lyrics on them are from songs by, yes, Guns n' Roses again, all chosen for a deep and meaningful reason of deep meaningfulness which is again connected with a fanfic arc. Yes, again it's by Card. This is because Card is not so secretly awesome. Anyway, the arc in question is currently complicating my life with sequelitis, but I had to do something to prove how awesome it is, so I made some icons to... accompany it, I guess. The fics in question are being posted to aff.n under the title Witness to My Crime, but to Card and me they'll always be the Mindfuckery Fics. If you read only one piece of twisted WK fic this year and aren't interested in FarfKen, you need to read this arc.

  • Oh yeah, and 'we were looking for badgers' was a really crap excuse given by Ron Davis, MP, as to why the police had caught him in the bushes with a young male constituent...

Same rules as ever: any and all of these icons are, of course, eminently gankable should anybody out there feel they so desire. Credit would be gratefully appreciated (oh so very gratefully) but is not necessary as I won't hound you down with pitchforks for deciding not to.

Icons.
No, I haven't had much to say for myself this week. Well, my life is about as interesting as an... um, well, it's not is what I'm trying to say. I'm trying to find work. I get up, I get dressed... there's not much I can say about it. So I've got to resort to posting about things I've thought or done, not about things that happen to me. This is difficult.

So, instead of being intellectual, I've made some icons.

Ignoring the ones I made for [livejournal.com profile] cards_slash, because they're personal and For Her Use Only, I'm left with the makings of a series. An extremely silly series. To whit:

[livejournal.com profile] weiss_badfics is a terrible influence on me.

Yes, there is quite a lot of Ken in them. But that's because I've got far more screencaps of Ken than I have of anybody else and also because I happen to think he's funny when he's being obtuse. I wasn't going to make the Rapist!Youji thing YoKen, but that was the most suitable sequence I'd capped. Thanks, Episode 21.

Same rules as ever: take 'em if you like, credit appreciated but not essential, et cetera.

Well, That's Enough of That.
Finally.

Four days, umpteen new images, 72 tunes by Yuki Kajiura and a sore wrist later, that's done. This is why I haven't been round for the past few days.

Yeah. Good job I only go on icon binges irregularly, because making these things just about killed everything else I had going for myself. In an 'oh yeah, I haven't eaten all day' kind of way. Or a 'oh, I'll have to go to the shops tomorrow' kind of way. Or an 'I've been up for three hours and still haven't brushed my hair' way. What can I say, I get distracted extremely easily and I'm not very good with my imaging software. Paint Shop Pro, for shame.

Anyway: here are the fruits of my labors. Speaking for myself, I'm actually pretty pleased with this lot.

Brushes by [livejournal.com profile] colortone, [livejournal.com profile] perfetc__, [livejournal.com profile] twistedswanton, [livejournal.com profile] masquerademasks, [livejournal.com profile] sugarplumkitten, [livejournal.com profile] joyfulsong, [livejournal.com profile] snarkybecky and [livejournal.com profile] merely_anger - all sourced in [livejournal.com profile] 100x100_brushes, yet again. If I've left anyone out - it was unintentional!

For those who really want to know more about the bizarre inner workings of my mind when I'm sitting in front of Paint Shop Pro, procrastinating on my Norman Powell x Ken Hidaka bleak angst and non-con fic...

References I Can Actually Remember Making:

  • Lyrics in the second set of icons (the washed out ones with the Japanese text in the background) come from Paul Simon's Graceland. Not because I was listening to Graceland, mind, but because when I was frantically hunting for something to write on those icons, I fortuitously came across the lyrics book to my CD. They work, why not?

  • Other lyrics I am aware of using come from, in no particular order aside from the order I remember them in, You Choose by the Pet Shop Boys, I Know by Placebo, a number from The Producers and Lene Marlin's Unforgivable Sinner, a song which was red hot for about five minutes when I was eighteen or so. I'm also pretty sure the quote 'Love took me by surprise' is from a song from the Hentai game Casual Romance Club. I've seen screencaps, yasee. There's a couple of garbled lyrics courtesy of songs by one Yuki Kajiura, too. And, speaking of...

  • Salva Nos. Yeah, I'm sorry. It was about three in the morning, I was listening to that song, I'm obsessed with the idea that Ken is a lapsed Catholic... it just happened. Salva Nos indeed.

  • One of these icons is very like a Winamp skin I made a couple of years back, when I first got bitten by the OMGKENISSOADORABLE bug. In fact, the image is nearly identical. Just a lot smaller. But, being a complete idiot, I hadn't saved the layered image of the Winamp panel, so I had to try and remember what the Hell I'd done to the picture to get it looking the way it did in the skin. It took far too long.

  • The quote 'Look Closer', for the three of you who don't know, is the tag line from American Beauty. I just kind of felt it suited Birman, who is the Woman of a Thousand Faces.

  • The Kase one: Well, he is John Travota, isn't he?

  • I apologize for the number of badfic-related icons in this batch. The animated Aya one I actually started making before I did the companion one for Ken, but of course I couldn't settle to Aya when I hadn't done an icon for Ken. I giggled myself stupid, like the sad individual that I am, over the Youji one. I wouldn't need all these badfic icons if I didn't hang out at [livejournal.com profile] fanficrants. But I do. So I have them.

  • The Nagi icon was originally going to be a badfic one as well, but I changed my mind halfway through when I realized I couldn't use the snowflake brush if I used the caption I had planned. I think this gets the point across just as well. Fangirls: you don't piss off the telekinetic, 'kay? Because your brain just might go splodey. Now stop writing all those goddamn Nagi rapefics. Said the woman who constantly writes rapefic involving a guy who's good enough at close-range, hand-to-hand combat that he could most likely kill anybody who tried to rape him without even thinking about it.

  • And finally, a couple of tiny pleas for more Weiss femmeslash. I can't write it, or I would. But dammit, I NEED MANX X BIRMAN. One problem: I'm not sure who the girl in the icon with Aya-chan is. It looks like Sakura, but it's Tsuchiya art so I suspect that's actually Ouka.

Okay. Shutting up now. Any and all of these icons are, of course, gankable should anybody out there feel they so desire. Credit would be appreciated (you don't know how much) but is not necessary.

Oh yeah, and then there's these. Sorry.
